Walk-through visits to your child’s classrooms!

Meet our PTA Board & visit the Food Trucks!

Sycamore staff and teachers are excited for the 24/25 school year and look forward to seeing you at  our Back to School Night.

Sycamore will hold walk-through classroom visits between 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, July 11th. It’s the perfect opportunity to show your child their classroom, meet their teacher, meet our Specialist teachers, and tour other areas of the campus including our library, MPR, and playground. Also, please join us for a Meet and Greet with Sycamore’s Principal, Ken Graff; Assistant to the Principal, Jennifer Jepson; and members of PTA at 5:00 p.m. in the MPR. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about Sycamore and our Site Council.

In addition, classroom teachers will prepare a welcome video which will include an introduction of themself, an overview of routines and procedures, grade level curriculum, and will provide additional information about your child’s classroom.

Sycamore’s AMAZING PTA will have a table where you can purchase Sycamore t-shirts, merchandise,  and sign up to be a member of Sycamore’s PTA! Our PTA has also arranged for food and beverage trucks during our Welcome Back Night.

Are you interested in serving on the Site Council? Sycamore will have two open seats on the Site Council this year. The Sycamore Site Council serves in an advisory capacity to the principal. Any parent of a Sycamore student or community member who resides within the Sycamore’s attendance boundary is eligible to run for a seat. Please email me at graffk@vailschooldistrict.org if you are interested by Thursday, July 11th and send me a brief summary introducing yourself and why you are interested in serving as a member of the Site Council. Nominees will have an opportunity to introduce themselves at the Meet and Greet in the MPR at 5:00 pm on the 11th. During the week of July 15th, an electronic voting ballot will be sent out to parents with candidate bio information. The two successful candidates will be notified the following week.

Please know how much we value your support and look forward to the 24/25 school year! Have a relaxing and safe summer!
