PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Construction Tech. students are actively engaged in building significant projects that teaches them how to use the tools of the building construction industry safely in a job like setting, solve complex problems, and creating a viable product, as they gain job entry credentials and experience.

Here are some of the things you can look forward to while in the program:

WORK BASED LEARNING

Construction Students are building two 400 sq. foot Tiny Houses, top to bottom, start to finish, each school year for installation at the Vail School District Tiny House Complex - a complete residential construction work experience.

  • Students work on all aspects of the Tiny House from pre-construction to final reveal and ribbon cutting.

  • BCT 107 Basic Safety, Hand & Power Tools, Blueprint Reading- 3 Credit Hours

  • BCT 110 OSHA 10 Hour for Construction Trade - 1 Credit
