PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Cienega Agriculture courses offer a wide variety of curriculum and hands-on learning. Students are able to learn through the use of labs and activities, while applying their knowledge in the greenhouse, orchard and Land Lab. As participants in an Agriculture course, students are also members of The National FFA Organization. Through membership in the FFA, students are able to develop their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success.

Work based learning is applied through Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE). SAE projects allow students to explore career options, gain workplace experience, and develop and refine skills related to their areas of interest. Knowledge gained from the classroom and leadership skills developed through involvement in the FFA come together to help students gain success in their SAE.
